About the JILPAC
The Journal of International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict / Humanitäres Völkerrecht (JILPAC / HuV) specialises in the analysis of contemporary armed conflicts. JILPAC focuses on the intricacies of international humanitarian law and related fields, including international human rights law and international criminal law as well as on practical challenges of humanitarian aid and peace missions. JILPAC publishes papers, commentaries, case notes, book reviews and conference reports in both English and German by internationally renowned academics and practitioners on current events and future developments of the law and the humanitarian action. The predecessor to JILPAC was founded in 1988 at the IFHV. It has since influenced the academic and policy-orientated discourse in the fields of legal and interdisciplinary conflict research and was recognized in inter alia projects of the United Nations (UN) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as well as in publications in Germany, Austria, Switzerland among other countries. |
